Custom Milling of Lumber from Vancouver Island and British Columbia
The Way We Cut Makes a Difference
Watching our professional sawyers and the saw mills in action? No problem! Our lumber yard and the Pickup Store are open. Drop by, see what we do and discuss your ideas with our woodworkers.
On the big mill we can cut up to 36 x 36 x 32 foot logs. The small mill gets the smaller jobs done with stunning precision. Big machinery takes care of lumber at any size that is either self harvested or delivered, second or old growth. Most of our cuts are custom cuts for our customers with very specific needs.
Our materials have been featured in numerous projects, including the totem pole on the exterior of the building of the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society, and the 32' long canoe that sailed from Nova Scotia for the opening of the Olympics in London.
The Quality of Lumber Is Our Pride
All of our Old Growth Western Red Cedar, Yellow Cedar, Douglas Fir, Sitka Spruce and Hemlock logs are supplied by Vancouver Island based logging companies. Second Growth Timber like Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar is harvested by Mike Warburton on locally owned private properties.
Our customers have access to Western Red cedar, Yellow cedar, Douglas fir, hemlock, pine and fir. All logs are waiting for a special request.
Selecting, Grading, and Falling Is How It Starts
The adjacent property of Warburton Woodworks Ltd is an important source of Fir and Spruce. Mike Warburton, a West Coast tree faller, selects, grades and falls trees on customer requests.
Having access to live trees gives us the flexibility to provide exactly what our customers expect from us.
