Milling

Custom milling of lumber from Vancouver Island and British Columbia

We offer a large selection of logs in all sizes and ages which are ready for custom cuts. We offer Western Red Cedar, Yellow Cedar, Douglas Fir, Hemlock, Pine, Sitka Spruce and Douglas Fir straight from Vancouver Island and British Columbia.

The way we cut makes a difference.

  • Small or Big - Nothing is impossible! Come and check it out.

Do you want to watch our professional sawyers and saw mills in action? No problem! The lumber yard and our Pickup Store are both open to the public. Drop by, see what we do, and discuss your ideas with our woodworkers.

On the big mill we can cut up to 36 x 36 x 32 foot logs. The small mill completes the smaller jobs with stunning precision. Large machinery processes lumber of any size that is either self-harvested or delivered, second or old growth. Most of our cuts are custom for our customers with very specific needs.

Our materials have been featured in numerous projects, including the totem pole on the exterior of the building of the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society, and the 32 feet long canoe that sailed from Nova Scotia for the opening of the Olympics in London.

Selecting, grading, and falling is how it starts

  • Cutting Second Growth Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar on our tree farm

The adjacent property of Warburton Woodworks Ltd is an important source of Fir and Spruce. Mike Warburton, a West Coast tree faller, selects, grades and falls trees on customer requests.

Having access to live tress allows us to provide our customers with an even greater variety to choose from.
